Hi ๐ Iโm Freddie, an anthropologist-designer, attending and co-creating multispecies worlds with communities and the more-than-humans through ethnographic research, speculative design, and digital experiences.
I believe design is most powerful when it stays close to the lived experiences as a starting point for imagination. I am drawn to the knowledge communities hold about their environments, the relations at the edges of dominant narratives, and the futures that exist in the present.
I received a Master's degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology (cum laude) from KU Leuven, postgraduate certificate in Speculative Design Futures from IADT Ireland, and training in Strategic Foresight and Design Leadership from Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies and Parsons School of Design.
I founded PROONG, a research-led design studio working at the intersection of multispecies thinking, community practice, and futures. I am also part of DesignDesign, a Berlin-based design community exploring methods and practice openly.
I am always happy to talk, collaborate, or think together. Feel free to reach out.
